“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6

The prophecy of Isaiah includes Jesus as our Prince of Peace.
Peace is not the absence of conflict but God’s design.

Peace
Hebrew-shä·lom’-completeness, soundness, welfare, peace of individuals, groups, and nations.
Greek-eirene-unity and accord; the spiritual harmony brought about by restoration with God.

Peace is desired in our being. John 14:27, Philippians 4:6-7
Peace is needed in our interpersonal relationships. Ephesians 4:1-3; Romans 12:18
Peace is pursued on earth. John 16:33; Philippians 2:9-11
Peace with God is our greatest need. Romans 5:10

God’s gift to you is the Prince of Peace.

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord  Jesus Christ.”
