Jesus Is In The Waiting

February 25, 2018 00:00

This week we had an opportunity to hear from a few of our Campus Pastors at each campus. We always look forward to hear what God has placed on the hearts of our pastors and we hope that you enjoyed this awesome opportunity to hear from a few of them!

Worship 'Til The Chains Fall Off

February 18, 2018 00:00

This week, Shawn talked about the power of worship, especially when we are in difficult situations. Whether we were the cause of our own pain, someone else or just simply trouble we are walking through because of living in this broken world, we can be overcomers and not victims.

Buffalo Soldiers

February 11, 2018 00:00

This week, Chad tilted the message, 'Buffalo Soldier' as he likened the spiritual battle to be courageous to the bravery of the buffalo soldiers in the civil war. Each of us have a battle worth fighting for and we are able to walk into the storm knowing the God is with us, for us and will give us strength to face any giant.

Purpose in the Pain

February 04, 2018 00:00

We all desire freedom and we all need it. God promises freedom and wants all of us to experience it in and through Him. Freedom from addiction. Freedom from selfishness. Freedom from fear. Freedom from anxiety. Freedom from comparison. But it will take courage to trust God at his word and in the leading of our lives. It will take self-discipline and accountability to take on that which wants to enslave us.

Approval Addiction

January 28, 2018 00:00

Is it God's approval that matters in your life or others opinions? This week, Shawn tackled the topic of 'approval' that hits close to home for him and for most of us if we are honest. What people think about us matters, but how much do you allow it space in your life to matter?

Clothing Vs Consequence

January 21, 2018 00:00

In this week's message, we look at the other side of the coin in God's invitation to live free. While we are always invited to come to God as we are, with all of our story and without condemnation or shame, we cannot address what it means to live free in Christ without recognizing the presence of sin in this world and in our hearts.

This Is Me

January 14, 2018 00:00

In this week's message, Chad takes us back to the Garden where it all began. Genesis 2:24-25 says that both Adam and Eve were naked, free and felt no shame. As the story progresses, however, we see deception change everything.

Live Free

January 07, 2018 00:00

In this week's message, Shawn encouraged us to look at Bartimaeus in Mark 10 as an example of someone who first, identified what he needed to be set free from and second, asked Jesus to set him free from it.

Holiday Hangover 2017

December 31, 2017 00:00

Thanks for joining us for Holiday Hangover as we celebrate the New Year as a church! Our yearly Holiday Hangover message is an hour long special video service featuring teachings, new worship songs from Red Rocks Worship, and stories of life change from people in our church. Click here for additional ways to view.

Christmas 2017

December 24, 2017 00:00

We're so excited to celebrate Christmas Eve with you as a church family this year. We gather together just the way we are - with all of our problems, our blessings, our hurts, and our joys - to celebrate "Immanuel, God with us!" (Matthew 1:23).

Holy Inconvenience

December 17, 2017 00:00

This weekend, Chad followed up last week's message on holy irresponsibility with the challenge to walk in a perpetual state of holy inconvenience. In our culture today, we don't have much patience for being inconvenienced-especially during the holidays. Yet as a result of our hurried search for convenience, we can miss the opportunity to be generous.

Holy Irresponsibility

December 10, 2017 00:00

This weekend, Chad talked about how the grace of giving is a catalyst to change lives for God's glory, including our own lives. Yet one of the many hurdles in talking about generosity, is how it can first appear completely fiscally irresponsible to the less mature or hard-hearted believer.

Excel in the Grace of Giving

December 03, 2017 00:00

This week, Shawn kicks off the series talking about giving as a grace and how our own lives are changed in the process of trusting God with our finances. The act of giving has to do with the condition of our hearts, not our bank accounts.

Thick Skin, Soft Hearts, Can't Lose!

November 26, 2017 00:00

Doug opened this week's message asking the question, 'How do we love in a world where people hurt each other?' He encouraged us that with 'thick skin and soft hearts, we can't lose!'

So Will I

November 20, 2017 00:00

This week, Chad spoke about the power of thankfulness. We can go through trials, yet remain full of joy and thanksgiving to God and what He has done inside of each and every one of us who know him.

A Gift And A Call

November 05, 2017 00:00

In this week's message, Shawn reminded us of our 'gift and call' as believers. The gift, is God's free gift of grace that grants the opportunity for eternal life, and the call, is the urgent task of sharing the gift with others. In Paul's letter to the Romans, the two exist together. The gift and the call are like salt and pepper, PB&J, or Chad and Shawn. One basically does not exist independently of the other.

Time Is On Our Side

October 29, 2017 00:00

In this weekend's message, our guest speaker Ryan Leak challenged us to consider how we choose to spend our time. It's not a new question and is probably one you've asked yourself before, but it's a question with convicting and corrective power. What is it that fills the hours of your day?

A Position To Listen

October 22, 2017 00:00

This week, Shawn kicked off with a message about listening. It's not quite the thing we all want to hear about, because many of us prefer talking. More often than not, we find ourselves venting, complaining, or yelling into the electronic void of Facebook, but listening- listening is a very different discipline to learn. Yet when it comes to our walk with God, it is one of the first and most important things we need to learn.

Who Are You In Line For?

October 15, 2017 00:00

Our guest speaker this week, Charlotte Gambill, based her message to us on a phrase she heard from God that woke her up out of a dead sleep. It is a question with which we will continue to wrestle in our study today. Who are you in line for?

House Party

October 08, 2017 00:00

As we concluded our series, 'I am Home', we focused on the theology of celebration. We serve a God who celebrates when the lost are found. God desires to commune with us and it pains his heart when we are far from Him.

Search Party

October 01, 2017 00:00

This week, our campus pastors gave us a 30,000-foot view of the story of the prodigal son in its context of all the parables in Luke 15.

Field Day

September 24, 2017 00:00

This week, Chad reminded us that the local church is to be a hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints. Being a hospital, means we are a place where we can help people in need, walk alongside them through the restoration process and ultimately help them find a place to serve others. The local church is a beautiful expression of restored people being used by God to restore others.

Homecoming

September 17, 2017 00:00

Shawn continues our series looking at the significance of the moment when the son and the Father reunite.

This Is My House

September 10, 2017 00:00

When we hear the word 'home' what comes to mind? For many that word brings to mind a place of refuge, retreat, a sanctuary where we can be ourselves and leave our socks on the floor. However, for others, the very word 'home' can bring up hurt and frustration in the fact that we didn't have a good home and the things we have experienced in life have distorted what a home should be all about. In this series 'I Am Home,' we are going to explore the many facets to the story of the prodigal son.

The Mountain: Bible, Broccoli, and Bowling

September 03, 2017 00:00

This week, Chad spoke about the struggle Elijah went through after the big showdown on the mountain. After experiencing one of the greatest demonstrations of God's power he'd ever witnessed, Elijah found himself depleted, exhausted, hungry, tired and in a very vulnerable state.

"I didn't come to take part, I came to take over!"

August 27, 2017 00:00

One of the most memorable mountain-top stories in the entire Bible is the epic showdown on Mt. Carmel between the prophet Elijah and the prophets of Baal. This week, Chad spoke about this intense face-off and the experience Elijah had on the mountain getting to witness the Lord's provision in such a powerful way.

Miracles Follow Movement

August 20, 2017 00:00

This week, we are going to take a trip up a mountainside with Abraham. Abraham is about to be tested in a way he has never imagined, yet he trusts God's character during a time of confusion. Abraham will be asked to give up the very thing he loves most. He just doesn't know the plans God has in store for him.

Compassion Weekend 2017

August 13, 2017 00:00

For our fourth year talking about Compassion International, Chad discusses the overwhelming need for us to be 'a church that pushes the envelope of generosity, both locally and globally.' We want to be a church deeply in tune with God's heart for the globe, and known for our generosity.

Guess Who's Coming Over?

August 06, 2017 00:00

Eric wraps up this series talking about Zacchaeus, a guy who lived for the world, but wanted more. God so badly wants us to stop living the mundane, and let him into our lives. Life's not easy, but it doesn't have to be average.

In Jesus' Name

July 30, 2017 00:00

Shawn's message can be summed up in five words: pain, prison, power, platform, purpose. Gabriella, the youngest pastor to ever preach at RRC, embodies these words and shares her compelling story of her battle against Leukemia.

A Vacation From A Vacation

July 23, 2017 00:00

We've all wanted to escape from our day-to-day lives through a vacation- or even to the world of Netflix. This week, Chad talks about how easy it is to disengage and dwell on our past. We follow Peter's story and how God never looks at our future through the lens of our past fears and failures.

Unworthy

July 16, 2017 00:00

This week Shawn talks about the woman at the well and her feelings of unworthiness. Just like God wanted to meet with that woman, he wants to meet each of us where we're at. You. Are. Worthy.

A Walk To Remember

July 09, 2017 00:00

Guest speaker, Ryan Leak, throws down a challenge to get out of your comfort zone and become what God intends you to be. It's easy to get caught up in what we can't do, instead of what we can become. When Jesus asks us to follow him, accolades don't matter. We qualify through following Christ.

All Of The Greatness, None Of The Glory

July 02, 2017 00:00

This week Jessie asks if you, like John the Baptist, would live a great life for someone else's glory. Are you living your greatest life possible for the sake of God's glory?

Take It By Force

June 25, 2017 00:00

Chad continues looking into the life of John the Baptist, and unpacks his thesis, 'Entrance into the kingdom of God is free. Enjoying the Kingdom of God is costly.'

Pain Is Real & God Is Good

June 18, 2017 00:00

This week Shawn continues talking about the Greatest Of All Time, John the Baptist (Luke 7:28). Even the G.O.A.T. experiences hard times. Pain is real and God is good.

Rip It, Feed It, Rest

June 11, 2017 00:00

We've all wondered who is the G.O.A.T., Greatest Of All Time. Who's the greatest athlete? Band? Movie? Jesus played the G.O.A.T. game too. In Luke 7:28 He says, 'I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John.' Jesus declared John the Baptist the greatest human of all time. This week, Chad takes a deeper look at what makes John the Baptist the G.O.A.T.

Watch What You Worship While You Wait

June 04, 2017 00:00

Ironically, when we first hear God's invitation, 'let's go,' it doesn't always mean that the 'going' will happen right away. Rather than being called immediately into seasons of action, we find ourselves first called into seasons of waiting. And like the Israelites in Exodus 20, we are 'notoriously bad at dealing with delays.' This week, Chad picks up with his second point of how to wait well and throws us a proverb-like warning, 'watch what you worship while you wait.'

The Domino Effect

May 28, 2017 00:00

This week, Eric challenged us by looking at a simple yet profound question: Why am I here? If we are honest with ourselves, we have all wrestled with this question at one point or another in our lives. Some of us have faced this question on many different occasions! Though the question may feel daunting, and maybe ethereal in nature, it can actually be a question full of hope, purpose, and possibility. The Bible is very clear our purpose on this earth is to make God's glory known, and bring p...

Against All Odds

May 21, 2017 00:00

This week, Shawn changed direction and focused on how God viewed Moses, when he had a tough time trusting God and his own abilities. Moses had a very complex and difficult past. God saved him as a tiny child as he floated away in a papyrus basket from a certain death into the arms of Pharaoh's own daughter. God had his hand on Moses life, as he was drawn out of the water as a child and was raised in luxury and privilege. The same palace hallways he played soldier in, would be the very same ha...

Let's Go... Slow

May 14, 2017 00:00

This week, Chad continues the series talking about how the Lord's timing is rarely close to our own. In seasons of the Lord whispering 'let's go,' often the call comes with a deep and critical need for patience. As Chad pointed out, the Lord's thoughts are higher than our thoughts, his ways of thinking are not limited by our human capacity.

Called & Confused

May 07, 2017 00:00

This week Shawn talked about how often-in life, God's calling comes amidst confusion. The enemy of our soul desires to confuse us, but even when we are feeling that, we can be confident of God's voice. He is the author and perfecter of our faith. He knows that the chapter and page He is writing and our story is one about faith. God has plans for our lives and they are good plans.

Let's Go... Back

April 30, 2017 00:00

This week, Chad continues the series talking about how obscurity precedes prosperity in God's economy. When we hear the word 'prosperity' many of us cringe as we think it is referring to evangelists on television, but the reality is God wants to prosper our lives in so many ways. God desires for our relationships to prosper in richness and depth. God desires to see our marriages prosper as we cultivate resilient patience and sacrificial love. God desires for us to prosper in our work environm...

When God Calls

April 23, 2017 00:00

Throughout Scripture, God continually says, 'Let's go.' From Abraham, Moses and Gideon to Mary, Joseph, the disciples, and the apostle Paul; all had moments of God asking them to trust him. 'Going' is not always a destination, but it does take obedience and faith. For some of us, let's go can mean it is time to stay right where you are and dig in. For others, let's go means drop what you are doing, turn the other direction, and go where Jesus is leading you. God truly speaks to us through his...

Easter 2017

April 16, 2017 00:00

Easter is arguably the most exciting time of year for Christians. It is the embodiment of hope for humans, defeat of sin, and victory over death (Romans 8:11). This week, Chad talks about Easter as the divine reminder of what life is all about and, most importantly, 'who' life is all about.

Rip The Roof Off Part 2

April 09, 2017 00:00

Last week, we dove into the powerful story of the man on the roof, and his friends who lowered him down to meet Jesus. This week, Shawn looked further into this same story, to uncover more truth surrounding what type of friends we have the potential of being. In the message, Shawn gave us these three things that each one of us deserves to have in a friend: someone who will exercise their faith, someone who will believe in miracles for you, and someone who will push you closer to Jesus.

Rip The Roof Off Part 1

April 02, 2017 00:00

'Show me your friends and I will show you your future.' This is a heavy statement, and one that could be jarring for some folks. It can be easy to be in complacent friendships that seem harmless; yet those we call our friends deeply impact our lives whether we realize it or not. The other side of this coin is living in isolation. For some, it might be easier to not get close to friends, or stay away from 'community.' Being known is vulnerable, and community is messy. It also takes effort and ...

Old Spice Swagger

March 26, 2017 00:00

This week we talk about the tension between the ideas of holiness and grace. It seems, at times, that the church is caught in a mid-life crisis when it comes to how to view holiness and grace. Sometimes we focus on God's holiness, for he is perfect, separate, an all-consuming fire before whom each one of us will stand. Other times we focus on God's grace, for he is full of grace and mercy. At times it is hard to see how the two co-exist. Yet in God, they not only co-exist, but are in complete...

An Impossible Fight

March 19, 2017 00:00

This week Shawn talked about the biblical and historical account of what we would all categorize as an impossible fight. On the surface we see the story of a young shepherd boy as a physical fight, which it was, but it was much more than that. It was a spiritual fight and the victor of that fight was God. Only the Lord can save, it was never about the spears or swords, but about our faith of the God who is with us. In David's eyes, he wasn't alone in the fight, it was God who would defeat Gol...

The Table Of Mercy

March 12, 2017 00:00

God knows we can be a forgetful people, and that is why Jesus specifically reminded his disciples to remember. When we forget Jesus, we lose our way and by default we try to create shortcuts back to God to justify ourselves before him. There is no formula to justify ourselves, no way back other than to sit at his feet and simply ask for mercy. It is when we cry out for mercy, that the ears of Heaven hear. It is in our fading strength when we are most likely to take a knee and ask for forgiven...
