It is dedicated to sharing their stories of gaining access to higher education through athletic participation while uncovering the barriers to access they must overcome to do so. Specifically, we learn about the college recruiting experiences of athletes globally to provide insight to families for decision-making, guidance and support for students, and insights of culture and climate for families and administrators. In addition, we discuss current events with professionals in the field to better understand best practices in the areas of performance, leadership, advocacy, celebration, and education as they emerge in the narratives.
