This week on Recovery Corner, Kenzii tells her story of addiction and how she came to find recovery after years of struggling with excessive drinking. Although she found recovery through a traditional program, she did not feel like she had found true understanding until she discovered Sober Black Girls Club, a nonprofit that offers peer supports specifically for Black women in recovery. For Kenzii, finding Sober Black Girls Club was instrumental to her ongoing recovery. In this episode, she and Saraiha discuss the importance of having a community of people who have similar lived experiences and how it can benefit one's recovery.
