“New York is dead.” That’s been the gloom and doom message since the metropolis became America’s epicenter of the Coronavirus pandemic in March. Since then, however, the city has been able to control the spread due to strict restrictions and it’s coming back to life. The real estate market, in particular, has picked up so much that homes are selling in record time and multiple offers and bidding wars are not uncommon.
Melissa Leifer, a real estate broker at Keller Williams Tribeca, is a native New Yorker who has been in real estate for over 18 years and has seen its share of ups and downs, including 911, the financial crisis, and Covid. Melissa shares what the housing market was like in NYC before the pandemic, during its challenging first months, and what she predicts will happen in the next couple of years.
For more information about the NYC market, contact Melissa at [email protected] or 917-364-1274.
