Put in a ton of money into house, have to move for work.
What are my options if I invested $230k in renovations to my home, including a new steel roof, master bath remodel, new kitchen, updated HVAC, engineered wood deck, water system, water heater, whole house generator, and solar panels. However, the appraised value only reflects a $145k increase, and realtors suggest a selling price of $560-580k, while nearby new builds are priced at $780k+. Additionally, my employer will not compensate or buy my house due to a job relocation. Is there anything I can do in this situation?
