Lender got mad at me for requesting price match
Buyers saying they don't have cash 1 week to close
We received an offer over asking and the buyer signed an appraisal addendum to cover the gap. All went great with the appraisal but there was a $20k gap which they signed an addendum to cover. Now, we're one week away from closing and they're stating that they had a family emergency and had to use the funds.. Our realtor is stating that we have to change the purchase price. What recourse do we have and is that the correct advice? The earnest money deposit isn't worth the risk of having to put it back on the market.
