Understanding Real Estate Cycles with Arn Cenedella: ep 295

Arn Cenedella knows that real estate is a long-term game.
The founder of Spark Investment Group began his real estate career in 1978 and worked in residential brokerage until 2014. Over that time, he's been through at least 3 or 4 economic cycles, and he knows they repeat themselves.
While there have been tremendous boom times over his career, there has also been disruption and pullback. As Arn likes to say: "A little rain must fall now and again."
When we're in the middle of a downturn, it may be difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but Arn knows that those are the times that set the floor for the next expansion and growth. What he sees in today's markets is very typical.
When he looks long term, he knows that property values will be a lot higher in 10 years than they are today, especially if you can identify up and coming areas, like he targets. It may not be a straight line, but eventually he knows he'll see very strong returns.
As he told us: "I can't really think of a better place to keep your money than in real estate."
