The weekend's grand highlight for my team and me was finally receiving the Inc. 5000 award. It was an accomplishment that was both inspiring and humbling. Though it was truly beautiful to see a lot of women in the room, I know that we are still definitely underrepresented.

I've been sharing these #MillionDollarMistakes and have opened up my business to share behind the scenes. I believe that a greater amount of transparency is required so that more of us make it there.

Key points discussed in this episode:

✔️ People believe that in order for them to make a million, it has to be complicated. You don't have to have a big team to get super famous, or wait to make seven income streams to bring in seven figures. There are more simple ways your business can be a $1,000,000-income stream. How do you do that? Keep what's going well for you, and shift to what's not going well. That's how you keep the momentum going.

✔️ So many strategies are out there that can have you moving around like crazy, never making enough money. Are you chasing tactics that may be here today, gone tomorrow? When you're looking at social media platforms that you're building on and what strategies you want to use, try to pick one that you can focus on and become a master at that. One of the reasons that I believed I could create a $1,000,000 business is because I mastered Facebook like it was nobody's business. We organically made millions on Facebook without ads or anything else. Remember Clubhouse, which was super popular? Lots of people were on it, and most are not on it anymore. Time was spent there that could have been devoted to something else.

✔️ Creating successful businesses can be a little boring. Why? Because your messaging, your offer, and your pricing need repetition in the marketplace. For you, it sounds like you're saying the same thing again and again and again. But for those who desire to buy from you or are in your audience, it almost sounds new and fresh every time until it hits home. And it takes a lot of repetition for it to hit home. It took years for people to start to reflect back to me my own messaging. People are now saying "Celebrating Wins," and "We Slay Sales." That took years upon years of repeating until we crossed a million dollars in business.
