In the 1980s the federal government did without the fair doctrine which would ensure that both liberal and conservative point of views would be covered on the radio or TV. That is not the case today and it would be hard to implement something like that given the variety of Media services we possess today but is there a need for something similar given the state of confusion that exists today?
