If you continue to repeat diversity outreach efforts the same way with little to no results perhaps its time to change.  Jalana Torres outlines several methods to increase recruitment of people of color into public relations.  Currently, 90% of public relations jobs are held by caucasians. African Americans hold 8.3%, Hispanics hold 5.7% and Asian American only have 2.6% of the jobs. With the complexion & population of America trending towards people of color so are the markets that will need to be penetrated--successfully.  In addition to population increases comes the multimillion dollar increase in buying power.  Diversity holds the answer to key to market penetration success as this trend continues upward.
