Patricia Smith, an award-winning author of eight critically acclaimed books of poetry and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, visited Providence this fall. Smith was the most recent acclaimed guest of the Jane Lunin Perel Poetry and Fiction Series, named for beloved English and creative writing professor emerita.
