Next Episode: A conversation with Father Shanley
Dr. Jeff Johnson of the Department of History and Classics, discusses his teaching and research specialties, which include radicalism during the Progressive Era in the American West. He also shared insights about the scholarly research process, and his involvement in a national program meant to provide K-12 teachers with access to new knowledge as it is being discovered by academic researchers. Having spent much of his youth in Wyoming and attended college in Montana, Dr. Johnson also discussed some of the issues related to the mythology of the Old West, and talked about his favorite Western movie (oh, and a chance meeting with Friar legend Kris Dunn in Chicago).
