The COVID pandemic made us all aware of how critical healthcare facilities are to the overall health of our communities. Alex DeMars '22, a health policy and management major from Brunswick, Maine, got to see this lesson firsthand as a facilities management intern at Maine Medical Center in Portland last summer and while working remotely during the school year. In this episode, DeMars discussed some of his responsibilities and how his HPM courses and two years working for PC's Physical Plant helped prepare him for the role.
