This week, we’re joined by survivor John Walmsley of Cumberland, RI. We first heard about John from WPRI who wrote a story about John’s journey and a song that he wrote. The song, titled “Wage Hope,” was written to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer research. After seeing this, we were excited to have him on our show so we could go into detail with him about his story and some of his advice for other people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

John is highly involved with PanCAN and through that experience as well as his own research throughout his pancreatic cancer journey, he has become a highly knowledgeable and inspiring advocate for pancreatic cancer survivors and fighters.

Listen in as Dino and John discuss John’s personal story, early detection, genetic testing, the Whipple procedure, and much more!
