Praying For Your Kid’s Dating Relationships_Day 4

This week on Prayers From a Mom Podcast we are talking and praying about our kids' dating relationships and even their sex lives. Might be awkward but it's needed.

Action Steps:

Have the awkward conversation you've been putting off with your kids about their worth and value when it comes to dating and intimacy.

Ask God to show you any areas of your kid's dating relationships that need your prayer.

Begin to pray for your kid's future spouse.

But remember sometimes when we pray for things, situations surface and it may seem like a bad thing, but it's actually an opportunity to do things differently. Be expectant for the good that is coming.

Focused Prayer:

Father,

I pray my kids understand how wonderfully complex and unique you made them so that they do not date anyone that does not value and respect them. I pray for the young man or woman you have in mind for my child. Send people in their life that will teach them about healthy relationships. I know you created my kids with a sexual desire and it will be human nature for them to be curious and explore this with someone but I pray they guard their hearts above all else. Lord keep away those that are out for selfish motives and do not respect my child. I pray my kids will respect those that they date. Help me push past any awkwardness or ignorance to educate my kids about dating, sex, and healthy relationships.

In Jesus Name, Amen!

1 Corinthians 7:1 Now regarding the questions you asked in your letter. Yes, it is good to abstain from sexual relations. 2 But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband.

Genesis 2:18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
