Do you have a big message? Are you looking to gain lots of visibility? Are you wanting to grow your business like never before? Then you're in the right place.

There are specific steps you can take to get greater results for your efforts.

When you're looking for podcast opportunities, make sure that the shows that you're targeting are a good fit for your message. Clearly state what your niche is and what you can offer the host and audience by appearing on the show.

There are a lot of podcast communities cropping up where hosts want to meet possible guests and experts want to meet hosts.

Far too often, when someone is asked why they are in the group, they respond with a very generic, “I want to be on shows.”

Be more specific than this.

What type of shows? Who is the audience that you’re a great fit for? What do you have to offer the listeners as far as expertise?

For example, let's say that you deal in women's health specifically to do with plant based eating. Rather than saying, “I want to be on health and nutrition shows,” say, “I’m seeking opportunities to be on shows that address women’s health and nutrition, specifically to do with plant based eating.”

Keep in mind that it's very competitive nowadays compared to the past. A lot of people didn't even know what a podcast was. Now podcast shows are cropping up all over the place and the hosts are looking for guests to be on the show.

When you are prepared, you have a much better chance to stand apart from the competition.

There are those who say there is no such thing as competition, but there is.

One way that you can stand apart is to present yourself in as professional away as possible. Professional is relative to what your subject matter is.

Make sure your website and blog is up to date. If you have a YouTube channel, upload current videos. Have a pitch sheet.

Do what you can to get a high concentration of shows. One show a month is good, but imagine one per week and even one per day. Now imagine what would happen if you did two or three a day. That’s a lot of visibility.
