Tips to Get Started in the Film Industry with Screenwriter David Hughens

Coming up today on The Power to Pivot Podcast, I am joined by award- winning creator David Hughens, who has written 6 screenplays, receiving over 40 awards worldwide. David is currently working on the movie Made With Love, a heartwarming story starring his friend Jay Thomas Carr, an actor with Down syndrome. David was on the show a few weeks back to talk about the film and the crowdfunding efforts to get the movie to the big screen. David is back with me today to share his path in the film industry.

David overcame many obstacles to make his first feature film, ELVIS’ GRAVE, and he did so when he was just 23 years old. He was the second person to make a homegrown film in his home state of Alabama, and the youngest at the time. David spent most of his career in sales and marketing, but God called him back into filmmaking three years ago. His career is one that highlights what the message of The Power to Pivot is really all about.
