Church, WE have good news. That’s what GOSPEL means. The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus is GREAT news. It’s the hope of the world. And here’s the deal: it was MEANT to be shared.

There is a world out there that is STARVING for eternal hope - and we have what they need; but part of our sinful nature makes it difficult for us to share at times, right?

Acts 21:37 through chapter 22 is a great picture of what it means to know your story, and to know what God wants you to DO with your story.

Paul is going to tell his story - it’s a BC/AD story, if you know what I mean.  BC - before I knew Christ; AD - the year of our Lord. It’s a story of what I USED to be like before I met Jesus, then what I am now that Jesus has come into my life. Some people call it a testimony, right? And what’s powerful about a testimony is that it’s YOUR STORY. No one can argue.

Fact is - YOU have a story, just like Paul. And that story has been given to you for a reason. Once Jesus comes into your life, there is a new purpose, a new direction, a new force behind what you do. As a disciple, you now live for a different kingdom and are under new management, if you will. So it matters WHAT you do with that new life. It’s not just about you getting to go to heaven. There is a re-created sense of identity and value. Today I want you to see three things about the power of our story. Because if we have been given this story for a reason, it will be good for us to understand how to utilize that story to its full potential, just as Paul does.
