Eating disorders--a subject that hits close to home for Pop Psych 101. Mike, gives a little background to his personal experience with an eating disorder, while Ryan explains that sometimes these symptoms can pair with mood disorders as a way for a person to gain some control where they might feel as if they have none.
Ryan and Mike go deep into "To The Bone", a Netflix special, starring Lily Collins, based on true events surrounding a battle with Anorexia. To The Bone, is as intense a look into treatment as any pop culture they've looked at to date, even if the ending is a little too packaged for Ryan's taste.
Ryan and Mike answer listener questions about bulimia, binge eating disorder, and go over what an anorexic person would look like in real life, as far as symptoms.
