As he walked home from school, Cassius Turvey was attacked and later died. His death has led to an outpouring of grief around the country, with over 44 different vigils being held for the 15-year-old Indigenous boy.

Megan Krakouer, a good friend of Cassius's mother Mechelle, helped organise these vigils. Today on Please Explain, she speaks to Chris Zappone about race-based violence, Cassius, and the peaceful wishes of his family.
