On Episode 13 of the Philosophical Weightlifting podcast I was joined again by Greg Farris. Greg is the founder of Myobrain, an online coaching service dedicated to providing personable coaching with scientific, evidence-based plans for fat loss, muscle gain and performance. Greg received his B.S. in Health Promotion from Emporia State University and went on to obtain a M.A. in Dietetics from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Greg has competed in natural bodybuilding, powerlifting (at a national level), and Crossfit. In this episode Greg discussed his approach to surviving the holidays. Included in the conversation was: - Off-setting the spike in Calories after a holiday - What to do the week before the holiday to minimize its impact - Greg’s thoughts on frequent manipulation of Calories and/or training after a holiday or special occasion - How to enjoy a holiday meal even if you are in the middle of a contest prep. or weight cut for a competition - How to track alcohol and what is an acceptable amount before gym performance is compromised - And much more! This was another awesome show guys and I am so excited to have had this opportunity. Thanks for listening and if you enjoy what you heard give us a like, share, and subscribe for future episodes.
