Maison de Woof was created in 2013 based on the need for stylish, fashion forward pet accessories. It is headed by lead designer Susan McGuire, whose vision is reflected in Maison de Woof’s innovative designs. At Maison de Woof, every piece has a story and a life. At Maison de Woof, many new styles are always emerging, because Susan takes inspiration from many places. Her pieces have been inspired by great art, art deco, nature and music.
Maison de Woof feels pieces should not only be stylish, but should be quality crafted for fit and detail. Susan’s materials reflect her vision in creating unique designs.These materials include amazing ribbon, distinctive vintage items for centerpieces and parts to create original headpieces, and distinctive touches such as custom dyed feathers. For vintage pieces, the design process starts with materials. Susan believes each vintage piece has a spirit that needs to sing. She lovingly curates vintage items and materials she loves, and when she hears the song, she creates. Susan’s mission is to always capture and honor the spirit of the piece to create something brand new.
Maison de Woof is continuously expanding its product range to offer custom ribbon bows, fascinators, hats, tiaras, accessories “pour homme,” and haute couture custom accessories for special occasions. She is always pushing the boundaries of possibility by using a variety of classic and cutting edge millinery techniques. Susan also employs her classic millinery techniques for a “human line” called MdW design. MdW design creates all manner headpieces from fascinators, tiaras or modern avant garde pieces.
Style is a manifestation of an attitude. Maison de Woof and MdW have accessories for every mood and occasion.
