The Final Conversation I Meant to Have With My Long Estranged Mother, and the Intersection with Women's History Month

It's Women's History Month, and I've already been thinking about the lives of women past, and the opportunities they didn't have. My own mother, a woman who was smart and capable and wanting more, reminded me of how tragic it is when people are forced into roles due to societal expectations.

So I decided to call her, after nearly 3 decades of no contact.
