Every business needs to put people at the centre of their strategies and decisions. Why? Your people are your best asset. People are leaders. People are entrepreneurs. People are owners, managers and juniors. We are all human. If we understand people more deeply, we’ll start to understand them and then can build better, more sustainable relationships. Whether it’s talent or business. Whether it’s a better culture or innovative ideas. Sustainability is also a focus of my work and I’ll cover new thinking and invite expert guests.

New podcast showtrailer for 2022

January 26, 2022 11:45 - 2 minutes - 3.13 MB

Every year it's good to revisit what your podcast show is about and so this year, I want to focus again on relationships and trust.  I want to bring you my professional experiences and discuss them, giving you helpful advice based on real scenarios. The single biggest challenge I've experienced is that businesses still think of 'comms' as sending out messages. The art of communication is data-based, human and should be developed with behaviours and actions at the heart of it.  I'll cover ...

I had the pleasure of speaking to Mark Bond, sorry Webb, earlier in the week and we had a great conversation around disability, having empathy and being human. Laura chats to Paul Sutton about integrated public relations and the lack of diverse skills

August 25, 2020 06:00 - 31 minutes - 43 MB

Both Paul and I were 'brought up' in integrated public relations. It's always been the norm. As the PESO model was much discussed a number of years ago, the PR industry has been slow to adapt, modernise and it lacks the diversity of thinking and skills (as well as its people), which would enable it to stand up to the big brother, marketing function. In addition, I wanted to ask Paul why in his last podcast, Gini from Spin Sucks, thought PR was dying, according to a recent report in the US....
