In this episode, we welcome Samantha Ranlet, Marketing Specialist of SPCA of Wake County. SPCA of Wake County is a private non-profit organization that empowers pets and supports the lives of animals in more than half of North Carolina counties. They focus on reducing euthanasia across the state and help connect rescues with the right owners.

Samantha shares how their organization engages in partnership and collaboration with municipal shelters by providing temporary living spaces and veterinary services for animals. Operating in two separate shelters, SPCA of Wake County strives to carry out programs that leave no pets or animals behind. These programs include admission services, volunteer programs, foster programs, spay/neuter services, spay/neuter voucher programs, behavior services, animeals programs, humane education, and pet loss support. Samantha also shares how their organization focuses on treating dogs with heartworm diseases.

“Our eyes are constantly on, how can we do more, how can we reach more people, how can we reach out to communities that need our help?” - Samantha Ranlet
