https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/patrick-jones-baseball/id1282221540?mt=2 This was a fun episode for me because Jacob is a former teammate of mine. Since then he has played professionally in the Kansas Royals Organization. He just finished up another successful season and is heading to the prestigious Arizona Fall League. The AFL is where teams top prospects are sent for some fine tuning and to see what they can do against other organizations top prospects. We get into what its like to play in the minor leagues. Playing a 140 game season can be a grind for anyone but the biggest key is to stay healthy. Jacob talks about the appraoch hitters have once you start to move up in the system. He also gets into specific adjustments that he's had to make to become successful as a professional. What a typical day looks like for him when he's playing a home game. How he's able to get himself back on track after a bad outing and avoid letting that turn into something worse. Jacob gives some advice to younger players in high school and college on some things that he would recommend focusing on. I appreciate everyone for listening!
