As a first round pick out of Ball State University, Luke Hagerty was on the rise to the big leagues. Unfortunately, after Tommy John surgery in his second season he missed two full seasons. His arm eventually got healthy but he developed the infamous 'yips' that every baseball players dreads. It ended his career and for five years he didn't even watch or talk about baseball. After training pitchers in Arizona he decided to start his own baseball facility, X2 Athletic Performance. He decided to try weighted balls on himself before implementing it on anyone else. His velocity jumped over time and he now tops out at 97mph. Not bad for a left handed pitcher. Luke plans on playing again this upcoming season at the age of the 37 and not facing any hitters in over ten years.
