The response to that plea (part 2) points us to the promises of God, specifically promises about a son of David on the throne. Both parts of this psalm speak to us in our tumultuous world, encouraging us to dependence, to rejoicing in the royal son of David (Jesus), and to hoping in promises yet to be fulfilled.
