Back in the day, Zach Thomas was selected as the top Eagle Scout in the nation. As we all know, such an honor is extremely rare. Among other things, It was one of the qualifiers that got him into West Point, the United States Military Academy, and so began his military career.  He served almost 7 years active duty as an Airborne Ranger Infantry Officer before leaving the Army to pursue the Chaplaincy and entrepreneurship.
