PainCareLabs CEO Dr. Amy Baxter has found that technology can relieve pain--without drugs.

Specifically, her research has shown that vibrations, plus a sensation of heat or cold, make a big difference.

As a result, she's developed numerous portable drug-free devices.  The goal: to empower patients, while relieving pain non-invasively.

Meanwhile, Dr. Baxter, who is both a pediatric emergency physician and a pain researcher, is continuing her research studies.  At CES® 2019, she was on site in the Eureka Park® startup area.  And she was demonstrating her pain-relief innovations.

Buzzy® is a needle-procedure pain blocker that uses cold and vibration.  VibraCool®, according to its website, activates the body's natural nerve-blocking response.  It also increases blood flow, to stimulate healing.  Currently, approximately 5000 medical facilities are using Buzzy®, and it's being put to use in 29 countries.
