Guess who's back? Back again?
Dawn is back! Tell a friend!
When Pete Alonso went off during the Home Run Derby, there was one person I knew I had to bring on the show. And so it is an absolute joy to welcome Outsports editor emeritus Dawn Ennis back to the pod! And lo and behold, her beloved Mets are in first place and getting healthy so that's not the only thing she's excited about...
We discuss the All Star Game and how after the latest AL victory, National League fans have begun to view it as the Midsommar Classic. Then we dive deep into the causes of social justice that Henry Aaron symbolized, speculate over whether any random LGBTQ broadcaster can do a better job than Joe Buck (SPOILER ALERT: Yes, yes, sweet Jesus yes!), and go over plans to make Jacob deGrom the first pitcher to be cryogenically frozen between starts.
As I try to make clear at the end of the show, having Dawn back means a lot and I'm thrilled to talk baseball with her again!
