A huge welcome to the first ever episode of Out on the Paddock … a new Podcast initiative brought to you by the WA Country Cricket Board and with the support of WA Cricket.

Hosted by Rob Marshall, the current Chair of the WA Country Cricket Board, each episode of Out on the Paddock will give you “the listener” a great opportunity to be connected into all the happenings, past, current and future of WA Regional Cricket.

Each episode of Out on the Paddock, will not only feature news and critical information of WA Regional Cricket Competitions, such as Senior, Junior and Womens Country Week, but also Country Cup, WA Country XI mens and womens, Country Colts, the WA Country Masters Carnival and opportunities … as well as what is happening out in all things Cricket in the regions of WA Country.

But possibly even more exciting … in each episode of Out on the Paddock, we will feature a former or current WA Regional Cricket player or volunteer, who has a story to tell of their passion for WA Country Cricket and the journey they have been on to achieve that passion.

In this episode, we chat with and hear the incredible journey of one the living legends of WA Country Cricket – Tuck Waldron.

Tuck is one of the most capped WA Country XI players in our history and captained the WA Country XI against more International touring teams, than anyone to date, including the World Champion West Indies team of the 1980s. But it is Tucks story of growing up playing Cricket in Kojonup and for Kojonup at Country Week, that will truly resonate for so many of you, as you listen in.

We hope that you will take the opportunity to engage with us in this amazing first episode and in each subsequent episode of Out on the Paddock, to not only stay up to date and informed, but also to hear and associate with our Guests as they tell their stories, which most likely will resonate with your own story.

Put us on as you travel in the Car on the way to a match, or in your headphones while you do the gardening or at whatever opportunity presents.

Sit back now and enjoy – Out on the Paddock … Episode 1.
