Genesis 25-27 :: Lies and Deceit - The Story of Two Brothers

Deceit. Manipulation. Cheating. Favoritism. Fear. Doubt. Hatred. Danger.   Now that’s quite a list, isn’t it??   Today our study resumes in Genesis with the death of Abraham and then lands us right back in the story of Isaac + Rebekah + their twin sons. And every single word on that list above is found in today’s episode of OOBT. Whew.   The story of Esau + Jacob begins with a scandalous claim that the older brother would serve the younger, and it certainly doesn’t improve from there! However, as we have already seen in Genesis (and Job), God only has imperfect, sinful people to work with, yet somehow His grace not only continues to cover it all but also weaves together a story that ultimately brings Him glory.
