EP 031 w/Jamie (they/them) creator of the animation sensation, AmyRightMeow. They get real about the emotional toll of online content creation, being diagnosed with ADHD, asking all the big life questions, and coming out as nonbinary.

With irresistible charm, Jamie’s animations peel back the sticky layers of life, experience, and identity. Curious about aphantasia (not being able to see images in your mind's eye)? Questioning the institution of marriage? Want to hear about unusual pets? Jamie makes animations about it all. Through art, they’re owning their own personal explorations and showing up with confidence, creativity, and genuine curiosity. Their journey is contagious. You’re going to fall in love with this episode.

About Jamie of AmyRightMeow

Jamie is an animator and content creator who has worked on Bafta-nominated work. Over the last 3 years, they’ve built a mega-following of over 500k on youtube and 1million on TikTok, illustrating their stories and ideas using their animated character. Through these videos, they explore a wide range of relatable experiences, from uncomfortable barely-teen romantic encounters to the disappointment of drowning your cookie. By creating this abstracted world through which we can explore the banal, the awkward, and the magical aspects of their character, we find glimmers of validation and connection in a moment in time when it’s easy to feel more isolated than ever.
