Happy New Year! Here are some big numbers to ponder as we begin 2021.  59, 46, and 10-Plus Big Ones.

In just 20 days, on Wednesday, January 20, the 59th Presidential Inauguration in American history will take place, and Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States. Of course, George Washington was number one and his big day took place on April 30, 1789.

As for the 10 Big ones: I'm talking about problems. President Bident and his historic female vice president, Kamala Harris, are being handed a gigantic pile of issues.

Here are just 10:

1. Unemployment, 2. Housing, 3. Homelessness, 4. Public Education, 5. The Pandemic, 6. The distribution of the vaccine, 7. A new strain of the Virus, 8. The economy, 9. A crumbling infrastructure, 10. A Foreign Policy Mess, 11. Cyber-Hackers from Russia, 12. Global Warming. 13. Racism.

I realize that's more than 10, but I really couldn't stop at 10. There are more. I spoke with Professor of Sociology and Political Science Mal Hyman about some of these problems in this One-On-One's Episode.
