Happy Monday!

We have Zen Honeycutt from Moms Across America at the half, so stick around. Christ Gronkowski is back to discuss fitness myths. Bernadette and Junior talk about football. We have a great show for you this week and are so ready to bring you a new, great, live show! So, let's get started!

Zen Honeycutt

Zen Honeycutt is an activist, speaker, author, and the founder and director of Moms Across America, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate and empower mothers and others with actions and solutions to create healthy communities. While heading Moms Across America, Zen initiated the first testing for glyphosate in tap water, breast milk, and urine and spearheaded the non-profit’s successful petition to Costco to remove Roundup from their shelves. She is the author of “UNSTOPPABLE: Transforming Sickness and Struggle into Triumph, Empowerment And A Celebration of Community.”

Moms Across America, Glyphosate

Glyphosate exposure is weakening our immune systems, increasing symptom severity from COVID, and contributing to our national shutdown and economic crisis. The federal EPA is currently accepting comments regarding whether or not to revoke the license of glyphosate (or merely restrict its use) based on their assessment of harm to endangered species. Their initial report claims that the 280 million pounds used per year on agriculture have no impact on endangered species. Only the landscaping use (20 million pounds) harms them. This is false. They have now reported that Glyphosate harms mammals.

Unfortunately, glyphosate is still available in stores. You can go to big supermarkets right now and purchase products like RoundUp. Your voice counts. Every email to your local government matters and they add up to sending a huge message to consumers! You have to go to the EPA and tell them glyphosate is not just harming landscaping, but it's harming agriculture, humans, and our future.

Chris Gronkowski

Chris Gronkowski is the owner and inventor of the Ice Shaker, vacuum insulated bottles that hold ice for over 30 hours. He first made a career for himself as a professional football player, joining the NFL in 2010 after being signed by the Dallas Cowboys as a fullback. During his years in the NFL, Gronkowski also played for the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos. Now, with the help of his four brothers, Chris Gronkowski puts all of his energy into running Ice Shaker, continuously updating the product line while improving the experience of protein shakers everywhere.

Fitness Myths Debunked

Lifting weights does not make you bulky! When you workout, just cardio is not going to help you tone up. You need to supplement with weight lifting as well. Dynamic stretching is something that people often miss or forget about when working out. You can not get a six pack just doing abs. Fat is stored all over the body, but if you want to reduce fat in one spot, you have to workout the whole body. If you have belly fat, you want to do weights and cardio combination, at a lower pace. When you do cardio, Chris Gronkowski says you need to keep your heart rate lower when you do cardio so you do not lose muscle.

There really is not a perfect time during the day or night to work out. Whatever fits into your schedule is what is best for your body and fitness. Chris studied a lot about hydration in college. At the end of the day, it is simply water. Water is the best way to get hydrated, and it is the best thing to drink during a workout. Get yourself into a grateful mindset every morning. Gratitude and self affirmations are the best way too get into a great day.

Thank You!
