Jackie Schlegel
Jackie is the Executive Director for Texans for Vaccine Choice, an educational foundation with over 30,000 social media followers as well as 12,000+ official members. Thanks to Jackie’s endless energy and passion, this group is organized with local branches, core members, and team leaders impacting their schools, their communities, and their legislators. Her unshakeable dedication inspires all members to have a laser focus on their mission of protecting and advancing informed consent, medical privacy, and vaccine choice.
Legislative Session Update
Jackie is excited to be here! She knows that these are heavy subjects, but that she, along side One Life Radio need to bring clarity to the US Population and the world. Jackie became incredibly passionate about vaccine choice with the birth of her first child 20 years ago. Bernadette says with her first daughter, she took the time to research, but not everyone has that luxury of time, so having the right to choose is important.

Jackie masked up, followed negative covid test protocol, and all the regulations when she visited the Texas capitol, but she was denied access to more information because she had not received the vaccine. She warns us that in the future, she fears that things like airlines, hotels, and even employers may require the vaccine. In Jackie’s case while she was trying to fight for vaccine choice in Texas, she points out that she could not even get the vaccine right now even if she wanted it. Recently there was a Texas Republican Congressman who brought a bill forward that wanted to tie giving stimulus checks to receiving the covid vaccine. 
Greg Glaser
Greg Glaser is the General Counsel for Physicians for Informed Consent, or PIC, a nonprofit organization opposed to vaccine mandates. He was recently called a 'human vaccine encyclopedia' for his work with the litigation team opposing the UC's mandatory flu shot. Greg is passionate about organic living and the Constitution.
Physicians For Informed Consent
PIC began after a mandatory vaccine law was put into place in California for school children. Greg talks about the CDC recommended vaccine schedule vs what other doctors want. The PIC supports doctor independence and consumer choice. The mission of Physicians for Informed Consent (PIC) is to deliver data on infectious diseases and vaccines. They also want to unite doctors, scientists, healthcare professionals, attorneys, and families who support voluntary vaccination. All of Physicians For Informed Consent is incredibly particular in the documents they produce. The PIC makes sure they are scientifically correct and won't be banned on social media. PIC’s vision is that doctors and the public are able to evaluate the data on infectious diseases and vaccines objectively, and voluntarily engage in informed decision-making about vaccination.

Greg talks about the COVID vaccine. The legal precedent for mandatory vaccinations dates back to a 1905 Supreme Court case after a smallpox outbreak in Massachusetts. Once a COVID-19 vaccine or vaccines are made available, states could mandate that people get them. Because the covid vaccines are for emergency, they can not be mandated like other vaccinations such as the flu shot.
