This Rookie Applied The Knowledge Gained From Attending Meetups To Buy 3 Multifamily Rentals in 4 Months - REIA Radio Episode 53 With Ryan Miller

Originally from Louisiana, Ryan Miller is the son of a Vietnam vet. Coming from a military family, he enlisted straight out of high school at the age of 19. Ryan joined the Air force and worked on the E4B, also known as the doomsday plane or airborne Pentagon in 2006 for 10 years. Ryan retired in March 2020 with 20 years of service to his country and immediately got a job as a Defense contractor, which he still has today. His initial interest in Real Estate was to own a glass coffee shop with an adjacent playground similar to one his wife would go to in Louisiana. When that didn’t work out, he continued to search and like most of rookie investors, came across bigger pockets. That lead to Ryan attending meetups, taking notes and then taking action which lead to him closing a 6-unit package deal as his first Investment. Ryan learned about seller financing from attending another meetup and used that creative strategy to buy his 2nd deal, another 6 units. His Failing Forward makes us think about balancing the property management scale of doing it yourself to learn and save money versus outsourcing it to leverage time, efficiency and peace of mind.
