Separated by hundreds of years, two requests were made to God in Jericho. The first, by Joshua, led to the sun standing still. The second, by a blind beggar, led to the Son standing still. The same God who stopped the sun paused to make time for a humble blind beggar with nothing to offer. We can learn from the beggar how to pray and cry out to the Lord, with humility, tenacity, expectancy, and specificity.
