It’s Monday afternoon, the trade deadline just wrapped, and we're hitting you with a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to help make sense of everything that happened today. On today’s show, we looked at the Oilers bringing in Brett Kulak and Derick Brassard, the winners and losers from deadline day, and a whole lot more.

Kicking things off, we jumped in with a look back at the inaugural Daily Faceoff trade deadline show and how it was very successful, especially since it was the first time we've ever done anything like this. Needless to say, we were all pretty proud of our boy for the work he put in today and how handsome he looked with his grown-up haircut. Back to the Oilers, we looked at the two moves Ken Holland did make as he brought in both Brett Kulak from the Canadiens and Derick Brassard from the Flyers. Since none of us were expecting the Oilers to be overly busy today, it was almost surprising to see Holland pick up a forward and defenceman despite adding just over $680K in cap space. From there, we looked around the NHL and if there were any other deals teams made that we wish the Oilers would have gotten done instead. Justin Braun? Rickard Rakell? Someone else? With the Oilers talk wrapped up, we picked our winners and losers from deadline day as there were a bunch of teams that were expected to get more done but simply could not. Lastly, we wrapped up the emergency episode of ONR with a look at tonight's matchup against the Avalanche and what the boys need to do to keep their winning streak alive.
