The NHL comes to an abrupt halt over the coronavirus, and suspends the season for an indefinite amount of time to combat the spread of the virus.

We have been without hockey and most sporting events now for not even a week, and it feels weird.

However, we actually have a game to cover! We didn’t get to talk about the Wednesday night game against the Rangers because it was a late one, and we had to record earlier. It was a really exciting game to watch, and the Avs came up with the win in overtime. Two powerplay goals, helped along by the returning rookie sensation Makar, and he was just that; sensational. He also controlled his time in OT and put the puck to the net that would get tipped by J.T. Compher; a beauty at that. Frankie also stood on his head and made some amazing saves.

We wrap up the episode talking about the virus’ effect on the NHL and the sports world as a whole. It’s going to be a long and interesting ride as we continue forward. Time will tell exactly what will come of all this.
