[Season 1 - Preconception] Diabetes is a chronic disease. Here, we focus on Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. We review the main cause of Type 2 Diabetes i.e. mismanagement of blood sugar levels due to broadly, either a shortage in Insulin, or Insulin resistance. We then take a deeper look into how Diabetes affects Pregnancy. Are chances of infertility higher in Diabetic women? Should oral anti-diabetic medications be taken? How do you know if you're pre-diabetic (i.e. borderline diabetic), or well into diabetes? We cover all of the above and more.
