Aerobic and Anaerobic fitness both play integral parts when it comes to your overall cardiovascular health.

There are also different types of energy substrates that are used within the anaerobic and aerobic systems too.

We have aerobic lipolysis (the use of fat as a fuel source) and also aerobic glycolysis (use of carbs as a fuel source).

When we say fat as a fuel source or carbs as a fuel source this does not mean "burning fat" or losing fat when you are using fat as a fuel source.

If you burn 1000 calories from aerobic glycolysis you're still burning 1000 calories and if you're in a deficit you will still lose fat, so don't confuse yourself between the two.

Give this weeks episode a listen to get an idea on what I mean.
