Dr Victoria Roper, Associate Professor at Northumbria University and Chair of the National Education and Training Committee of the Law Society, explains the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (or SQE) which is being rolled out in September 2021 and will eventually replace the current Legal Practice Course (LPC). She answers crucial questions like – How much will it cost? What happens if I fail an exam? And what to do if you’ve already started the LPC?
