Kelly Brooks is the Founder & Executive Director of SHARE Charlotte, a one-stop shop for 400+ CLT nonprofits – with a simple mission of uniting Charlotte through good and inspiring investment in the local nonprofit community. Since its founding in 2012, SHARE, with the help of sponsors and community partners, has raised over $12 million for local nonprofits
through campaigns such as #GivingTuesdayCLT and #summershare. As a result of the organization’s success, in 2016, Kelly was named a Charlottean of the Year by Charlotte Magazine. Prior to founding SHARE Charlotte, Kelly’s 11 year marketing career included positions with NASCAR, Seventeen Magazine and the U.S. Department of Treasury. In the community, Kelly is a member of the Board of Trustees for Providence Day School. Previously, she has served on the board of Council for Children’s Rights, Charlotte Bilingual Preschool, Partners in Out of School Time (POST). A native of Horseheads, NY, Kelly is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany with a B.A. in Economics. She and her husband, Paul, live in the SouthPark neighborhood of Charlotte with their two children, Olivia and Kasey.
