#005 In this episode I chat with Chris Bro, owner of All Things Next and Customer Experience Manager at Lately. We talk about many different topics in this episode including music, sports, social media, and the main purpose of this episode, working for a startup company.
Chris has been working for Lately, which is a startup that has been on the market for the last 2-3 years. Lately uses AI to automatically pull text from your blog posts and audio/video transcripts to help you create social media posts that can be scheduled across multiple platforms.
We talk about the struggles of working for a startup and the constant pains of being shut down and told "no," even when you know you're onto something great. "Team" is a constant theme throughout the episode as Chris talks about how important having that core team is, especially when you are just ready to quit and hang it all up.
In this episode with Chris, we also talk about growing a presence on social media and how this success will not come overnight. "If you want to be the best new band at the Grammys, it's going to take you 2, 3, 4, 5 years to get there."
