In this episode of Nihongo Master podcast and our ninth Study Saturday, we learn how to express possibility with “perhaps” or “maybe” in Japanese.
This week’s Study Saturday looks at conveying the possibility of something that’s not 100%… more like a 50/50 shot.
If you think something’s going to happen but you’re not 100% sure, you’re going to add the word “might”, “maybe” or “perhaps” in the sentence, aren’t you?
Maybe you want to use it to say everyday things like, maybe it’s going to rain, or perhaps you’ll cook dinner instead of buying takeout. All of that is easily achievable with the grammar language!
