日本語には丁寧体と普通体というスタイルの区別があり、目上か目下か、親しい人同士か知らない人同士かなど、話し手と聞き手の人 間関係によって使い分けられます。 では、どんな人が「目上」で、どんな人が「目下」として位置づけられるのでしょうか。これには、次のような要因があります。
年齢
先輩-後輩
地位の上下
客と店員
In the Japanese language, there is a polite style and plain style of speaking. They are used depending on the rela- tionship between the people communicating. For example, there are different expression for people in lower positions, higher positions, friends, or strangers.
How can we know when people are in lower or higher positions? Consider the following.
Age
Seniors - Juniors
Hierarchy based on status or position
Customers and staff
