Let me guess, you think doing more cardio is the answer to getting the body you want?
Guess again.
You know I love to bring you the hard truths and this is one of them.
I know you all want to have leaner, toner bodies, but killing yourself with cardio, whether you are running countless miles or spending hours on the elliptical a day isn’t going to help you. There is a huge misconception that more cardio is the secret to burning fat, and that couldn’t be further from the truth.
So, what is the truth?
In this episode of Next Level, my guest explains how you can transform your body composition and create the body you want through diet and weightlifting alone.
I know for most of you women out there, weightlifting is a scary word. You hear the word weightlifting and automatically think you will get bulky.
Guest Heidi Powell explains why you don’t need to fear weight training and the amazing things it can do to positively change your body composition, without the bulk.
The biggest takeaway? Women can lift as much as they want and still will never be capable of becoming as muscular as men because they do not produce enough testosterone necessary.
What you’ll learn:
Why killing yourself with cardio won’t give you the body you want How you can become the artist and sculpt the body you want The difference between being strong and being bulky The relationship between muscle mass and metabolism Why lifting weights doesn’t mean you will develop bulky muscles The science behind building bulky muscles and why it is 100% intentional Why you need to forget eating in a caloric deficit if you want to build lean muscle mass
